Not long ago, a friend asked me if I had always wanted to start a blog. I laughed! Before this year, I did not even know what a blog was. This blog has been truly a God-thing. Honestly, I don’t consider myself a very good writer. Writing little devotionals wasn’t even on my radar of things I wanted to do. I do, however, have a passion to teach. And this year, God has been developing in me a passion to specifically share with others things I am learning about Him.
This all started back in January. I started texting a daily verse to a few friends. We would share what we were learning back and forth. I started learning so much, not only from my own Bible study, but also from what others were sharing with me. This little texting ministry began to grow as God brought more people along my path to share with.
This Christianity business is so interesting. It’s like the more I learn, the more I desire to share with others. I think God wired Christians that way. This “good news” was never meant to be kept secret.
One thing that the Lord has been teaching me this year is that He wants to use MANY to do His will. The Bible tells us that we are all members of the body of Christ. We are unique and different. We need to use our differences and unique gifts to work together to fulfill His purposes. We NEED each other as we walk through this life. We are better together.
All that to say, I am having a very hard time keeping this blog up five days a week. Honestly, I just don’t have a word to share every day. Some days, the Lord shows me things and it burns in my heart until I can find time to sit down and type it out. Then other days, I just don’t have anything. And one thing I know for sure: if I don’t have a word, I’d better not say anything at all.
I never want this blog to be about me or anyone for that matter. I want this to be ALL for the Lord and His glory.
So I have been praying that the Lord will send more writers to this blog who want to share what they are learning about God with others.
In the meantime, I will post devotionals as the Lord leads, but they probably won’t be every day. Trying to juggle a full time job, along with being a wife and mother, it’s hard for me to keep up with everything right now.
I am honored that you take the time to read my ramblings. As I have shared in the past, I struggle every single day. I am very flawed. I get so frustrated at myself for how quickly I fall.
But I am also very thankful. I’m thankful for God’s mercy, grace, and forgiveness. I am thankful for His vast love. My favorite verse is Psalm 16:11 which says, “You have made known to me the path of life. You fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”
In Him I have found life, pleasures, and joy beyond anything I could have ever imagined.
And I want others to experience that path of life too!
