“Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart.” 

Just love the “delight” and “joy” David has when reading scripture. I can just imagine it being like opening a love letter from someone you love and can’t wait to hear from. I remember feeling like that whenever I got a letter from Skip when he was fighting in Iraq. 

I want to open my Bible and get excited about reading God’s love letter to me in anticipation of what He will teach me and show me. It’s how I can get to know Him and build an intimate relationship with Him.
