If u get a chance, listen to Rick Warren’s podcast, “Why You Need to Stay Hungry.”  It is so good!  It really hit home with me.  I want to fill myself with worthy things. Things that have eternal value.  I want to have an appetite for the Lord above all else in this life.

Only He can truly fulfill. 

Only He can truly satisfy. 

Rick talked about how we need a community of believers to help us stay hungry for the things of the Lord. If we focus on Him in our relationships, we will seek Him and hunger for Him.

I am finding that the more time I spend with Him, in prayer, and in His Word, the more I desire those things and the less I desire worldly things.

There is a God shaped hole inside of all of us and only He can fill it.

So many people are looking for fulfillment, and they are looking in all the wrong places.

We won’t find fulfillment in our jobs, marriages, houses, cars, children, clothes, things, bodies, friends, reputations…the list goes on and on. Those are all good things, but they don’t truly fulfill.

Solomon had it all and he concluded that it all was vanity. He summed it up like this, “Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.” Ecclesiastes 12:13

I pray that we will run to the Living Waters to fill us today!  Only He can truly satisfy the hunger of our souls!
